Certified in therapeutic, sport and senior massage, K9 First-Aid and CPR, Reiki Master/Teacher, dog psychic, medical intuitive, and animal communicator, Gillian Edwards combines communication, massage and energy work to bring peace, balance, health, comfort and well-being to animal companions.
A Colorado-based animal communicator and dog psychic, Karuna and Reiki Master and certified canine massage therapist and instructor, Gillian Edwards provides in-person and remote holistic healing solutions for animals and their human companions. Working locally in the Denver, Colorado area, nationally and internationally, Gillian takes a cooperative approach to animal well-care, with a deep understanding of how holistic therapies can enhance and complement traditional and alternative veterinary therapies.
With the belief that holistic animal therapy is centered on love, empathy and respect, Gillian uses her knowledge and skills to help improve an animal’s health and happiness, which can strengthen and deepen their connections to their human companions. Using a combination of animal communication, canine massage and remote or in-person energy healing work, Gillian helps animals activate their natural ability to balance and heal their physical, emotional and mental well-being.
Growing up in England and living on three continents provided Gillian with an understanding of how traditional, alternative and holistic therapies can work together to help heal the mind, body and spirit of humans and animals. She began her career practicing Reiki on human clients, attuning to the level of Reiki Master and receiving Karuna and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) certification. It was several years ago, while practicing in-person Reiki for a human client, she realized her ability to communicate with animals when the client’s dog began to communicate directly with her.
It was then that Gillian decided to work toward sharing her special communication and healing gifts with other animal lovers. She is a member of International Association of Animal Massage & Body Works (IAAMB) and also serves as a dog care and enrichment volunteer for Freedom Service Dogs, helping ease kennel stress by providing energy healing and massage, along with play time, puzzles and grooming. In addition, Gillian continues to keep up with the latest research, learning as much as she can to bring a holistic cooperative approach to animal well-care, sharing tips with pet parents to help care for their animal companions, while working with other practitioners and the animal’s veterinarians to achieve optimal physical, mental and emotional health and well-being.
Gillian is a professed animal lover and adoption advocate, rescuing numerous pets throughout her lifetime. This includes Zena, an 8-year young Rotti/Lab/Aussie mix who pushed her to share her passion for making a positive difference in the lives of animals and their caretakers.
